Creating & Marketing Your Portfolio ¡X Part 1

Part 1 of this class will have students exploring the variety of ways in which their photographs can be placed into a portfolio for professional presentation, the importance of self-promotion, making business cards, and other types of mailers used to create a professional business practice. With the help of the instructor, and the other students' feedback, each member of the class will conceptualize and begin the process of making a portfolio and other self-promotional materials.


Creating & Marketing Your Portfolio ¡X Part 2

Dates: Tues 6-8:30pm, January 27-March 3, 2009
Fee: $115 (6 meetings)

Part 2 of this class will have students finish creating their comprehensive photographic portfolio, which reflects the individual style and content of their work. The students will also discuss the area that they wish to target their photographic work and self-promotion packets that will be mailed to the list the students create. This class will encourage the students to make contact with their targeted audience they hope to work with. In the fifth week of this class a panel of Bay Area artists will review the portfolios and promotional materials the students created.
