Optional, additional darkroom access included!
The focus of this class is to experience photographing & create unique images with the quirky and one-of-a-kind plastic camera
¡E Learn how to use the lightweight & fun plastic camera of your choice,
eg: Holga, Diana, Vivitar Ultra Wde, Lomo, etc.
¡E Become skilled at creating amazing plastic camera images; learn to maximize
the effects of the irregular plastic lenses and simple mechanisms
¡E Print your own BW images in the on-site darkroom. Extra darkroom access
between class meetings is included.
¡E Learn which kind of lab options to choose for your color negatives.
¡E Explore different film types & learn creative photographing techniques,
(multiple exposures, panoramic, & use of a flash)
¡E See the work of other plastic camera photographers in the photography community
We will have weekly critiques of your images & a final project. Also, a guest speaker
will visit our class
Some darkroom experience preferred
Kristen Stehle received her MFA in photography at the Academy of Art
University. She photographed her thesis project with a Holga plastic
