6 sessions at Somarts
Learn to edit your digital images for sending in email, for a website, or for a print. Learn how and when to save as JPG, TIF or PSD and which to use for web viewing vs. prints, as well as the basic functions of the correction tools and layers. Basic color theory and color management.
This course is for beginners or for those with an incomplete, basic, self-taught knowledge of the basics of image file manipulation. There will be demonstrations with student images in Elements 6.0 and Photoshop C3 (latest versions) of all the essential, basic techniques. There will also be time for 1-to-1 consultations.
Bring your camera and some image files to allow hands-on learning. If you have one, bring your PC or Mac laptop, too. About half of the class time will be lecture/demonstration using a video projector with the other half being exercises using student images to demonstrate and practice the techniques.
